Mr. Colburn, as Risk Consulting leader for the UK, oversees the daily operations and continuing growth of core practices such as Property Risk, Health and Safety, Forensic Accounting and Claims Services, Insurance Archaeology, Product Risk, Strategic Risk, Business Continuity Risk Management, and Modelling, Analysis and Design.

Mr. Colburn previously served as the Chief Operating Officer for Marsh’s Risk Consulting specialty practices. He also served as the Mid-Atlantic Zone Consulting Practice Leader, managing a team of 80 professionals responsible for client consulting service delivery.

He has more than 25 years of experience in risk management, safety, health, and security and has assisted defense contractors, health care, manufacturers, utilities, and hospitality industry clients with a variety of global risk management issues.

Prior to joining Marsh in April 1996, Mr. Colburn was responsible for the implementation of the Corporate Asset Protection, Loss Control, and Safety Program for Citizens Utilities Company. His industrial manufacturing safety, loss control, and security experience includes six years with Textron Lycoming. Mr. Colburn’s work experience also includes five years as a United States Air Force Security Policeman specializing in weapon system security.

Mr. Colburn graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of New Haven. He is a licensed insurance broker in the State of Virginia.
