Giovanni Celeri is the Operational Leader of Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) in Italy. He is responsible for the growth and development of MRC Italy's core specialty practices, including Property Risk Consulting, Business Continuity Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Risk Consulting, Modeling & Design, Risk Strategies, Loss Adjusting, Supply Chain and Product Risk Management. Giovanni also oversees the sale and delivery of risk assessment and control consulting services to major clients.

Joining Marsh in 1982, Giovanni has more than 27 years of experience in risk consulting, primarily assisting large multinational companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paper, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Giovanni has developed and conducted strategic risk identification and assessment programs, led merger and acquisition due diligence reviews, and presented risk management training courses on a range of topics including auditing, environmental awareness, hazard awareness, and risk management systems.

He also regularly lectures on risk assessment and loss control at the Milan Polytechnic University, the Law Faculty of the Milan University, the CINEAS (Consorzio Universitario per l'Ingegneria nelle Assicurazioni) and the ISFoP (Istituto Superiore di Formazione alla Prevenzione).

Prior to joining Marsh, Giovanni spent time in the Italian military with a chemical weapon defense unit and worked for Foster Wheeler Italiana as a project engineer assigned to petrochemical, design, and construction teams.

He graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic University. Giovanni is a Certified Professional Engineer, member of SFPE (Society of Fire Protection Engineers), and a member of AIAS (Italian Society of Safety Engineers).
