Mr. Curtis is the Washington, DC Leader for Marsh’s FACS Construction Consulting Practice. He specializes in the review, analysis, and presentation of complex project disputes on issues such as project administration and management, schedule delays and impacts, and financial damages.
Mr. Curtis has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, with over 15 years as a consultant. He has worked as a project manager with specialty subcontractors, government owners, developers, and general contractors on numerous projects including hotels, restaurants, retail complexes, specialty residential high rises and low rises, and hospitals.
He has also worked with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and counsel to review complex project changes and claims, prepare expert reports, assist in dispute resolution, provide litigation support, and provide expert testimony.
Mr. Curtis has helped clients resolve their contractual disputes in various resolution forums including structured negotiation, arbitration, mediation, and litigation. In addition, he has testified as an expert on project costs and damages, scheduling and time impact analysis, as well as loss of labor productivity due to project delays and disruption, and in various legal actions, including testifying before the Federal Board of Contract Appeals. Mr. Curtis has also provided his clients with audit support and oversight services on best practices in the areas of project cost controls, project management, and claims avoidance for major construction projects.
Mr. Curtis speaks frequently on construction dispute and project management issues at various industry forums.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Villanova University.
