Barbara Dahill is Marsh’s United Kingdom Leader for the Human Capital Practice. She specializes in risk management, helping organizations reduce lost time and improve productivity within their workforces. She has extensive experience in both the public and private health care sectors in England and the United States and in developing successful occupational health program for UK public sector organizations. Her industry experience spans manufacturing, financial services, energy, health care, education, fire services, and local government.
Before joining the Human Capital Risk team, she was a health care risk advisor within Marsh. Previously, Ms. Dahill was an occupational health consultant with William M. Mercer, where she advised major UK organizations on a range of health-related matters, including improving employee productivity through health care.
She worked for the UK's National Health Service as an executive director within two acute hospital trusts where she was responsible for business and strategic planning, service development, and communication. She was also a project manager with a London health authority and the general manager of a psychiatric clinic.
Ms. Dahill speaks regularly at conferences and was most recently published on absence management in the February 2007 issue of Strategic Risk.
Ms. Dahill received a bachelor of science degree in nursing at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree from Marymount University. She also holds a master’s in organizational behavior from George Washington University. She is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
