Alan M. Maluse is a Managing Director and U.S. Practice Leader of Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC). He is responsible for MRC operations, sales strategy, and continued growth in the United States. Alan also serves as a member of MRC’s Executive Committee and the Marsh Global Executive Committee.
Since joining Marsh in 1985, Alan has assisted clients with complex claims in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, construction, telecommunication and agricultural industries. He has been regularly engaged by clients to assist with exposure identification, loss quantification, coverage analysis, and claim presentation to the global insurance marketplace.
Prior to assuming his current role as MRC’s U.S. Practice Leader, Alan was the Global Practice Leader for the Mass Tort and Complex Liability Consulting Practice and the Claims Consulting Practice. Establishing these practices within Marsh Risk Consulting, he developed industry-leading solutions which have assisted clients with the management of complex liability exposures and workers’ compensation costs that directly impact their balance sheet.
Alan has served as Marsh’s leading claim practitioner involving issues of “integrated occurrences” in the Bermuda and European Markets and assisted clients resolve such claims arising from automobile products, genetically modified agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and construction defects.
Alan joined Marsh following six years on the staffs of various property and casualty insurers. He has lectured in the MBA program of Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University, on the topic of “Mass Tort and Catastrophic Liabilities: The Impact on Enterprise Value” and in other venues on similar topics.
